Shape Up is a product management process from Basecamp, which they’ve shared with the world in a comprehensive book.
The basic idea
Shape Up helps companies discover and prioritise which problems to solve, and helps teams to uncover the right way to build each solution.
Put simply, it helps companies go from fluffy ideas, to shaped, scoped, and delivered features or projects.
Shaping --> Betting --> Building
Shape Up uses a “dual-track” approach; dividing work between “shaping” (discovery), “betting” (prioritisation), and “building” (delivery).
